The unfeasible thing to the many eyes of mountaineering and outdoor groups has finally realized to stand united as one bound by a common flag… THE ALLIANCE OF FILIPINO MOUNTAINEERS, (FIMO) Inc. is an alliance binding different mountaineering and outdoor organization in the Philippines. It has been formed to attend to many varying problems and challenges faced by the mountaineering community. As a result of the phoenomenal unity of various groups during Freedom Climb, it seemed enevible not to form a new umbrella organization who will cater all outdoors clubs, groups and organization without discrimination. FIMOinc showed our colleagues and aspiring outdoorsmen that we do not only scale the highest peaks but more importantly can work hand in hand towards a common cause. From then on, the word has spread through the mountaineering community. The renewed passion for change and our ability to act and fast to the needs of our fellow mountaineers was indeed a major milestone in our formation. VISION FIMOinc perceives mountaineering groups are standing indivisibly united by one goal and one cause, for the good of Mother Nature and of oneself regardless of religion, status in life, affiliation, region, culture, tradition and belief. MISSION STATEMENT Unity and understanding is promoted among mountaineering group members predicated upon friendship and camaraderie without alienating non members of the federation. It promotes welfare of each group members which encourages each group to grow and flourish for a common good. Develops physical and mental ability among group members and encourages new groups to get involved in activities equipping them for a greater challenge. Campaigns for saving, conserving our forests and for a cleaner and greener environment unified by one cause, one goal and one flag.
